No, SureContact goes beyond basic subject line testing. You can A/B test subject lines, sender name, from address, full email body content, CTA buttons and offers, and send time, all within a single campaign. You can run up to 5 variants per test, making it one of the more comprehensive testing setups available in an email tool.
A/B testing is included in every SureContact plan, free through paid. There are no paywalls or plan upgrades required to access it. This is one of the key differentiators from other email tools where A/B testing is often restricted to Pro or Enterprise tiers.
No, you don’t have to watch and manually decide. When setting up your test, you define your winning metric (opens, clicks, or revenue) and a test window duration. SureContact monitors live results throughout the test period, and when the window closes, it automatically sends the winning variant to the remainder of your list. You can also manually select a winner at any point before the window closes if the results are already clear.
While SureContact doesn’t enforce a hard minimum, a statistically meaningful test generally requires at least 1,000 contacts per variant to reach reliable confidence levels. For smaller lists, the results may not be statistically significant. The platform shows live confidence data as results come in, so you can see when the test has enough data to be actionable. Running tests on very small lists (under 500 total) is possible but may not produce reliable conclusions.
