Link Actions in the Email Builder New

You can now attach tag, list, and automation actions directly to a button, image, or text link in the email builder, without building a separate workflow.

When a reader clicks the link, the action runs. Clicking a button can add a tag, subscribe someone to a list, or start an automation. You set this up right where you add the link’s URL, in the Style tab. For text, a Links and Actions section lists every link in that block so you can attach an action to each one. You can create a new tag or list on the spot while setting it up, and when you reopen the panel it shows the real tag, list, or automation name rather than a raw ID.

Example

  • Add a tag to a reader the moment they click a button in your email.
  • Subscribe people to a list when they click a link.
  • Start an automation from a click without building a separate trigger.
  • Attach different actions to different links in the same block of text.

This lets a single click in your email do real work in your account, set up in seconds.

Automation Export and Import New

You can now export automations as a file and import them back into SureContact, so you can back them up, move them between workspaces, or reuse a setup.

From the workflow list, export a single automation from its row menu, or select several and export them together. The file downloads on its own as soon as it is ready, so you do not need to open the Exports page. To bring automations in, open the New Workflow menu, choose Import Automations, and upload a file you exported earlier. Imported automations always arrive as drafts, so you can review them before turning them on. The existing analytics export is still there, now labelled CSV Report to keep it separate from this re-importable backup.

Improvements

Campaign Content Auto-Save Improved

The drag-and-drop, rich text, and custom HTML editors now save your campaign content to the server automatically as you work, so a crash or an accidental exit no longer loses unsaved edits.

Auto-save runs quietly in the background while you compose. Moving past the Compose step still requires your content to pass moderation, and you will now see a clear warning if you try to continue before that has happened, in all three editors. This also fixed a couple of related issues: the “choose a new editor” reset button now fully clears your old content and asks you to confirm first, and a bug that could wipe the moderation status right after it was set.

  • Keep your work if the browser crashes part way through composing.
  • Come back to a half-finished email and find your edits still there.
  • Get a clear prompt if you try to move on before content is moderated.
  • Confirm before resetting so you do not lose content by accident.

This takes the worry out of composing longer emails.

Success Page Builder Loads Your Saved Design Improved

Opening the success page builder for a form now loads your saved design straight away, and gives you a starter layout when you are building one for the first time.

Previously, opening the builder directly, in a new tab, after a refresh, or from a shared link, showed a blank canvas even when a design was already saved. It now loads the saved design in those cases too. And when a form has no success page yet, the builder starts you off with a ready-made layout: a checkmark, a heading that greets people using their email address, and a subheading, instead of an empty canvas.

Bug Fixes

Attachments on Relayed Emails Now Deliver Fixed

Fixed an issue where file attachments on transactional emails sent through the SureContact SMTP relay, for example emails sent by SureMails, were silently dropped. The email body arrived and the send was logged as successful, but the attached files never reached the recipient. Attachments now deliver correctly. For safety there are limits on attachment size and a list of allowed file types, so certain types such as executables are rejected with a clear message rather than sent.

Zoom for Bookings, Custom Form Success Pages & Open-Tracking Consent

Zoom for Bookings New

You can now connect Zoom to your booking module, so a Zoom meeting is created automatically whenever someone books time with you.

Connect your Zoom account per workspace, and from then on every booking creates a Zoom meeting, reschedules update it, and cancellations remove it, with no manual steps. Google Calendar and Zoom now run as separate pipelines, so a booking still lands on your calendar even if one side has an issue, and neither blocks the other.

Example

  • Automatically create a Zoom meeting whenever a client books a call.
  • Have the Zoom link update itself when a booking is rescheduled.
  • Remove the Zoom meeting automatically when a booking is cancelled.

Email Open-Tracking Consent New

Contacts can now opt out of email open-tracking on its own, without having to unsubscribe from your emails entirely.

This supports the French CNIL requirement, in effect since April 2026, that open-tracking pixels used for marketing need their own consent, separate from consent to receive the emails. There is a new workspace setting to require tracking consent, which is off by default, so nothing changes for you unless you turn it on. When it is on, new contacts start with tracking withheld until they opt in. Consent can be collected through a toggle on the preferences page and an optional checkbox at double opt-in confirmation, and a new {{tracking_preferences_url}} merge tag links people straight to it. Open rates now account for recipients whose pixel was withheld, so your numbers stay accurate as opt-outs grow.

  • Let privacy-conscious contacts stop open-tracking while still receiving your emails.
  • Turn on a workspace-wide tracking-consent requirement to meet CNIL rules.
  • Add a tracking preference link to your emails with a single merge tag.

Custom Success Pages for Forms Improved

You can now design a custom success page that appears after someone submits your form, instead of only showing a message or a redirect.

Build the page in the landing page builder just like the rest of your landing pages, and it displays inline right after submission. A variable picker lets you drop in submitted details, so the page can greet people by name or reflect what they entered, and those values are filled in at the moment the page is shown. The existing message and redirect options still work exactly as before if that is all you need.

Example

  • Show a branded thank-you page after a signup instead of a plain message.
  • Greet people by name on the success page using their submitted details.
  • Give clear next steps right on the confirmation screen.
  • Keep using a simple message or redirect where that is enough.

This makes the moment right after submission feel like part of your brand rather than an afterthought.

Partial Submissions for Multi-Step Forms Improved

Multi-step forms can now save what someone has entered on each step, even if they never reach the end and submit.

This is an opt-in setting that is off by default. When you turn it on, each completed step is saved as a partial submission, so you can see how far people got and what they entered before dropping off. Partial submissions appear in your normal submissions list, marked as partial. Forms without the setting enabled behave exactly as before.

Example

  • See where people abandon a long multi-step form.
  • Recover details someone entered on step one but never completed.
  • Spot which step causes the most drop-off so you can fix it.
  • Leave the feature off on forms where you only want completed submissions.

This turns abandoned forms into something you can learn from and follow up on.

Step-Level Email Engagement in Branch and Filter Improved

Automation Branch and Filter conditions can now check engagement with a specific email step inside an automation, not just overall engagement.

Previously you could branch on lifetime engagement, such as whether a contact had ever opened an email. Now you can ask about one particular step, for example whether a contact opened the Welcome Email step or clicked a specific link in it. You can match on opened, not opened, clicked any link, clicked a specific link, opened without clicking, and similar combinations. A picker lists the email steps in the automation by their subject line, so you can choose the right one without opening each node.

  • Branch contacts based on whether they opened your Welcome Email specifically.
  • Follow up only with people who clicked a particular link in one email.
  • Route people who opened an email but did not click into a separate path.
  • Pick the exact email step from a list instead of guessing.

This gives you much finer control over automation paths based on how people react to individual emails.

Trigger Automations from Bulk Tag and List Actions Improved

Bulk tag and list actions can now optionally trigger the automations connected to those tags and lists.

When you bulk-add or remove tags or lists across many contacts, you can choose whether that should fire any automations set up on them. It is off by default, so bulk actions stay quiet unless you opt in. When you do turn it on, automations only fire for genuine changes, so re-applying a tag a contact already has will not trigger anything.

Example

  • Bulk-add a tag and have its welcome automation run for each contact.
  • Move many contacts onto a list and start its nurture sequence.
  • Keep a large cleanup silent by leaving the option off.
  • Avoid duplicate triggers when re-applying tags contacts already have.

This gives you control over whether large tag and list changes should set your automations in motion.

Contact Language No Longer Defaults to English Improved

New contacts no longer have their language set to English automatically when it is not actually known.

Previously every contact was created with English as their language by default, even when their real language had not been captured. The language field is now left empty until it is genuinely known, which keeps language-based segmentation and any language-specific content accurate instead of assuming everyone is English.

  • Send language-specific emails only to contacts whose language you actually know.
  • Avoid wrongly assuming a contact’s language before you have captured it.

Booking Widget Layout on Narrow Embeds Fixed

Fixed an issue where the booking widget’s calendar and time slots broke visually when embedded in a narrow space, such as a WordPress sidebar or a SureDash panel. Slot labels could overlap or become garbled, and two-digit dates could wrap onto two lines. The calendar and time slots now collapse cleanly into a single column based on the space actually available, and the loading state matches the final layout so there is no visual jump once the widget loads.

Shopify Integration, Export Filters & Custom Field Sorting

Shopify Integration New

Connect your Shopify store directly from SureContact using your own Shopify custom app credentials (Client ID and Client Secret), no app review or shared OAuth app required.

The connect dialog walks you through creating a custom app in your Shopify Developer Dashboard, adding the required API scopes and redirect URL, and pasting in your Client ID and Client Secret. Once connected, configure which contacts sync, map Shopify fields to SureContact fields, and control tag syncing — all from the Integrations page.

  • Connect your Shopify store using your own app credentials, right from the Integrations page.
  • Follow step-by-step setup instructions with copyable scopes and redirect URL.

Tag and List Filters on Contact Exports Improved

The Create Contact Export sheet now includes a Filters section, so you can narrow down which contacts get exported.

Alongside choosing your fields, you can now select one or more tags and one or more lists, including dynamic lists. Contacts matching any of your selected tags and belonging to any of your selected lists will be included. Leaving both filters empty still exports all contacts, exactly as before.

Example

  • Export only the contacts carrying a specific tag.
  • Export the members of one or two lists rather than your whole database.
  • Combine a tag and a list to export a tightly defined segment.
  • Keep exporting everything by leaving the filters untouched.

This saves you from exporting a full contact list and then filtering it in a spreadsheet.

Sort Contacts by Custom Field Improved

You can now sort your contacts by any Date or Timestamp custom field, oldest first or newest first.

Open the filter icon on a Date or Timestamp custom field column and you will find two new options at the bottom of the dropdown: Sort: Oldest first and Sort: Newest first. Sorting applies straight away without changing any filters you have set. Contacts with no value in that field are placed last. Custom field sorting and standard column sorting (such as Created or Updated) work one at a time, so choosing one clears the other.

Example

  • Sort by a Renewal Date field to see which contacts are due soonest.
  • Find your longest-standing customers using a custom Signup Date field.
  • Review the most recently updated records for a date field you track manually.
  • Keep your existing column filters in place while changing the sort order.

This gives you the same sorting control over your own fields that you already had over SureContact’s built-in ones.

Bug Fixes

Google Fonts on the Email Canvas Fixed

Fixed an issue where a template using a Google web font, either as the base font or on an individual element, showed a fallback font on the editor canvas after a page refresh. The correct font only appeared once you opened the Styles or Settings panel or the font picker. Fonts used in the template now load as soon as the editor opens.

Test Email Sender in the Full-Screen Editors Fixed

Fixed an issue where test emails sent from inside the drag-and-drop, rich text, or custom HTML editors arrived from the workspace’s default sender instead of the campaign’s own configured sender. Test emails from these editors now use the campaign’s sender. Also fixed a related display issue where the Send From (SMTP) dropdown on the Subject step reset to Default when you navigated back to it, for campaigns whose sender address was typed in directly. The saved sender details were never lost, only shown incorrectly.

      Contact Profile UI Fix for Long Tags   Fixed
